Summit Studios Presents 'Bayaan': A Cinematic Journey with Huma Qureshi and Chandrachur Singh

The Indian film industry is set to witness a remarkable cinematic venture with the production of "Bayaan," a new drama that assembles a stellar cast including Huma Qureshi and Chandrachur Singh. Under the direction of acclaimed filmmaker Bikas Mishra and production by indie stalwart Shiladitya Bora, this project begins filming in the picturesque locales of Rajasthan this month.

"Bayaan" presents a narrative centered around Roohi, a female detective, and her journey in cracking her first major case while confronting various challenges in a small Rajasthani town. Alongside her quest, the film explores themes of family legacy and societal expectations, as Roohi strives to live up to her father's esteemed reputation in law enforcement.

The film is a collaborative effort between Bora’s Platoon One Films, Madhu Sharma’s Summit Studios, and producers Kunal Kumar and Anshuman Singh, with international backing from the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s Hubert Bals Fund and development through the LA Residency of Film Independent’s Global Media Makers program.

Director Bikas Mishra, known for his critically acclaimed debut "Chauranga," aims to connect with a global audience through a story rich in emotional depth and cultural resonance. Producer Shiladitya Bora, with a history of successful films such as "Newton" and "Picasso," views "Bayaan" as a potential breakout project that could redefine narratives within Indian cinema.

The production also features an experienced crew, including cinematographer Udit Khurana, production designer Vinay Vishwakarma, and costume designer Shilpi Agarwal, ensuring that every aspect of the film is crafted to the highest standards.
